The Winter Classic Rally and Tour is a Bitumen only event that was developed in 1997 in response to the popularity of the classic touring style rally for car enthusiasts. Organized by the Ballarat Light Car Club, the event has grown to become a regular event on many competitors calendar. The event is set around the roads of the Central Highlands and includes some of the state's most challenging driving roads and picturesque scenery The Winter Classic Rally format has been developed over the last 11 or so years to appeal to both regular competitors and newcomers to this style of event.
