Circuit Racing
This level of competition generally requires substantial financial resources and a high degree of commitment. You will usually need to devote a great deal of your time to testing and development of your vehicle and the sourcing of sponsorship.
Most drivers involved in competition at State and National level will have had extensive prior experience in the types of events offered by our club or they may have come from a karting background.
Intending competitors are required to undertake a medical examination and attend a Circuit Racing Licence lecture. They must also participate in a comprehensive practical test where their ability and attitudes can be fully evaluated. Once they satisfy all the criteria new competitors are issued with a Provisional Circuit Licence. Their on track capabilities are then constantly assessed for an extended period before an upgrade to a National Circuit Licence is considered. Depending on a drivers’ age a full medical assessment must be undertaken every one or two years.
